Our hospice care services are for adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of life-limiting illnesses, including cancer, stroke, heart disease, lung disease, liver disease, kidney disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Alzheimer’s and AIDS.
What is hospice? Hospice is a philosophy of care focused on comfort and quality of life, intended to give seriously ill patients and their loved ones meaningful time together when the focus is on the people, not the disease.
Hospice is “comfort care,” meaning it aggressively treats pain and other symptoms without trying to cure the illness. It is a whole package of care services that is almost always provided at the patient’s home, whether that’s a private residence or a care facility.
Curative care is meant to cure a disease. Palliative care is meant to make the patient more comfortable. To palliate is “to make a disease or its symptoms less severe or unpleasant without removing the cause.”

Grief is the normal and universal reaction humans have to the loss of those they love. When your loved one dies, you go through a period of bereavement and experience grief that is utterly individual to your experience and yet shares many aspects with all others who grieve.
Global Home Hospice puts the needs of patients and families first. We know you want to return home to the people and things you love, and we have the resources to make that happen.
Global Home Hospice has everything you need to make your transition from hospital to home as seamless as possible. You’ll have the confidence of knowing your home is ready with the equipment and supplies you need. You can expect equipment that has been carefully inspected, prepped and tested and that adheres to manufacturers’ guidelines.
Our Master’s level Social Workers are specially trained in end-of-life care issues. They help our patients and families in a multitude of ways, including counseling, education, help with accessing community resources and grief support. In addition, they assist those in need of alternate residential settings, individuals experiencing financial crises, as well as those who require referrals to outside social service agencies. During the Social Worker’s visit, he or she will assess the needs of the patient and family and focus on maximizing their quality of life.
